About the brewery
Award Winning Tindall Ales Brewery first brewed back in 1998. They decided there was enough quality beers around and decided to brew some beer. At first it was just with locals in the village which they all loved and this is where the story starts. In 2002 they moved to here the brewery is now located in Seething .Things went well for the next 5 years but in 2007 they decided to retire as the industry had changed and people began to worry more about the price of a beer rather than the quality, taste and carbon footprint. They left the brewery dormant. Mike the current head brewer, son of the founder of Tindall Ales decided to start up the brewery again in 2016 under the watchful eye of dad, learning from him and brewing only twice the first year. It was just a casual thing to see if Mike enjoyed it and was any good at it. He very quickly became obsessed with it . The fascination came with tasting the ingredients , brewing with the ingredients and seeing if he could pick out the ingredients from a finished brew. He found a lot of joy and satisfaction in getting the details right at every stage. He loves tasting the beer and knowing what changes he can do to make it better and perfect the beers. Mike will always look to adapt recipes and adopt new tactics. In the meantime he had a full time job that he was working around to find time to make beer, deliver beer. Mike was even having to make deliveries on the way to and from work. Mike had a tough first year trying to organise himself and get recipes right. So in 2019 he went full on and made loads of beer for the lockdown to happen in march 2020. He had to adapt and did takeaway beer from the gates instead. Now post covid restrictions mike is making a new beer every month putting into practice all that he has learnt and been taught over the last 6 years.
